Ready Roast Nut Company, LLC announced today that it has signed a definitive agreement to purchase substantially all of the assets of Madera Quality Nut, Inc., a leading processor of almonds and other tree nuts for consumer product companies.

Located in Madera, California, Madera Quality Nut processes tree nuts into sliced, slivered, diced and meal form.  These nuts are then dry or oil roasted, blanched, salted or buttered.  Its customers include major consumer food companies in the U.S. and overseas.   The company has 90 employees and sales currently of approximately $60 million.

Thomas J. Finn, managing partner of Ready Roast Nut Company, noted, “We are very pleased to welcome Madera Quality Nut into the Ready Roast family.  Madera’s product lines are largely complementary to Ready Roast’s current activities in tree nuts and provide important opportunities to expand into other nut markets.   We expect to finalize the acquisition of Madera’s assets by October 1, 2007.” 

Ready Roast Nut Company is headquartered in Hughson, CA and operates as both an industrial supplier and custom processor of value-added dry roasted, oil roasted, salted and flavored tree nuts.  Additional capabilities include a new state-of- the-art laser sorting, foreign material removal line.
